每個屋案都有不同我自己想想特別滿意喜歡的地方，這個屋案在於，它位於的地區是一個非常容易下雨跟潮濕的位置，如同屋主所說，每次全付武裝(雨裝)到達台北市後總是很狼狽，台北明明大晴天，自己的穿著打扮看起來像瘋子一樣!但現在大家看到的照片，其實就是很真實的呈現當天房子裡的光影，這一點，是我最滿意的地方，如果回家可以享受這樣的乾淨舒適溫暖，即使拖著疲勞的身體下班，還是有一個支持的力量吧!
I can always find my favorite elements in every project. In this case, it’s the abundant of natural light. This space feels bright and airy due to its suburban location. The light and shadow dance around the clock. It’s such a cozy place that sooth and pamper you after a long hard working day.
大概是這個工作的職業病，跟新接觸的屋主們碰面，大概聊幾句或是觀察一下，其實大多都能在短時間感受到這家人的個性與互動關係。與國帆跟羿君約碰面的那天是平常日，說真的我覺得談話中的或聽著我講話的他們，眼睛都發亮了，好像，一件期待很久很久的事情，終於可以開始實現了！跟一般屋主一樣，交代了一些要提供給我的資料，他們好認真的一一寫下，然後彼此對話起來，對一個協助規劃設計的人來說，第一個啟動的動力其實在這裡，寫了那麼多篇，好像也隨著這些紀錄，漸漸開始瞭解自己是一個怎麼樣的設計，因為每個家的最重要及關鍵的角色真的在屋主本身，要找出的是適合這個房子規格及自己跟家人的喜好與品味。
I enjoyed talking with my new clients to get more acquainted with their personality and preferences. The day I met Thomas and Megan made my day. Their eyes were shining with excitement like opening Christmas presents. It’s like their long longing dream can finally come true. As usual, I asked them to provide some information I need to know before starting the project. They were so busy and serious taking notes that it boosted my enthusiasm. I’m having a blast chronicling my adventures on this blog which allows me to get to know my own style and it is really thrilling for me — when someone trusts you enough to invite you into their home and rearrange their things. But, as a matter of fact, I have to say the key success factor for each project is the dwellers. My task is to find the best match to the people with their surroundings, to make them feel comfortable and glow in their sweet home.
這個家的照片我覺得有點像Airbnb上面會出現的，說真的它真的真的不大，不過該有的東西的左右寬敞度，最後還是有出來。原本的房屋格局廚房就是在這個位置，只是是一套有點舊的廚具，一開始，他們就決定了要換的這套廚具，然後，規劃平面配置圖的時候，冰箱跟小家電及為數不少的杯子，好像都需要不著痕跡的擺進去，冰箱是最佔體積的量體，我們一樣安置在靠牆的地方，接下來就是一個電器用品的中島桌，因為餐桌就放在中島桌的旁邊，想一想，就把另一面給羿君收集的星巴克城市杯及旅行買回的茶罐茶壺用，（我也不知道為什麼前陣子才出現一個現在又來一個收集城市杯的屋主，要不要給他們彼此的聯絡方式？），在面廚具的那側長度做了有門片的收納矮櫃及抽屜，在工程進行的當中，中島桌是最先完成的，木工師傅像積木一樣，計算好每塊怎麼分解再貼好面材後組合起來，為的是讓「不同兩個材質收邊的地方」比較美，（這個聽不懂沒關係），我們使用了最原始的夾板當作材料，，還有灰色的耐磨板當做面材，會對他們提出這樣的想法是，家裡空間位置高度及物品還有整體的空間比例，並不適合跟其他屋主一樣都用白色的面材櫃子去做，很高興他們最後決定是，那就這樣完成吧！施工的中途，樓下的屋主有事情詢問，我到了同位置的別人家看看，別的人家做了一個有吊櫃的中島桌，其實我問了自己，為什麼不幫屋主多做幾個櫃子收納，但是看完後真的覺得保持空間光線感精簡物品不囤積，跟擁擠感但是可以放很多東西比較起來，讓他們來選擇好了！
This apartment, to be frankly speaking, is not spacious, but it doesn’t mean it is short on character. The renovation of the kitchen was a challenging process, but we’re so thrilled with the results. Megan loves collecting city mugs and teapots all over the world while traveling. We save one side of the kitchen island for displaying her trophies to keep things interesting without becoming overwhelming. The kitchen island is tailor made by our marvelous carpenter. Like building lego bricks, he made individual part first before forming to the way it is now. Our carpenter insists that always be careful with the right dimensions because if you go overboard, it usually results in a disastrous execution. We can never thank enough for his perfectionism.
他們家客廳MUJI收納櫃上放的物品，都是熱愛旅行的兩人，一點一點留下的回憶，還有一些香氛的乾燥花，在一開門的時候，我就聞到了，非常喜歡！拍攝紀錄照片的時候，大部分我們還是會稍稍移動一下擺放的位置，其實這邊我大概是照著旅行的主題跟明信片紀念品來分格，沒想到擺完後，國帆的火車那一格，變得很可愛，他們兩個一直在那邊小尖叫，對拉對拉！這樣好好看喔！好像又看到第一次見面的兩個人，可能有關那次兩個人的共同旅行的回憶又浮現在他們腦海，雖然我不知道發生什麼事，但是兩個人很愛發光的眼睛還是一樣的呀！在沙發這邊，加了一塊地毯，還有澎澎的抱枕，多了一些羿君有的柔柔女性化小清新，我知道她有自己頑皮跟叛逆的那一面，在看到她收集了很多日本的攝影師攝影集，例如川島小鳥等等如果以iphone來比喻的話，她內心就是一個「玫瑰金」的人。書架上都是很多她愛看的書，因為任何有關國帆專業的財經類的書籍或書報，都要放在小書房！！！（廢話少說的意思）
The furniture, a mix of vintage finds, DIY and MUJI hacks, was so organic and reflective of their personalities and style and the time they have spent all over the world. The day when we went for the photo shooting, we had to move something around. They screamed with excitement saying it’s exactly the why they wanted. Just like our first meeting, their bright eyes shine with sparkles, sinking into the sweet memories of their trips together. The fluffy pillows on the sofa add a little touch of feminine. Most of the books on the shelf belongs to Megan while books of Thomas’ are kept in the room which in my perspective reveals Thomas tenderness to Megan.
也因為認識很多屋主，有機會接觸到各行各業的人，不同的工作型態千奇百怪，喔！不是拉是包羅萬象，他們的工作時間，跟一般人不一樣，因為行業別的關係，他們兩個共同的上班時間，都是在下午才開始，一直到深夜，剛聽到的時候，真的有點不可置信，如何維持這樣的生理時鐘，一直一直，但是他們笑笑的說，阿都習慣了啊！臥房睡覺的位置，空間不大但是算尺度很好擺東西，一個L型的衣櫃，還可以放下一張雙人床跟一個 MUJI SUS矮櫃，我覺得這樣的擺放對他們來說是剛剛好的，後來他們跟我說，當他們帶著我畫的草圖到MUJI門市購買的時候，對方問他們，這個圖可不可以留給我們，給別的客人參考，他們形容的模樣很好笑，兩個人很靦腆但是認真的說，可是要問一下設計師耶，這個是她畫的東西！然後我就回答羿君跟國帆說，這個是屬於你們的東西呀，當然有權利決定怎麼使用，設計費都花了！整段過程好像是一段好笑的經過，但是，他們就是這樣，看待每一件事情都很謹慎跟先換個角度設想別人。
對了靠近床頭窗邊有一個布簾隔著的小凹洞，是一開始房子的構造就是這樣，我們使用了它加上布簾變成另一個收納衣服的空間，還有置放他們最愛的行李箱，祝福他們兩個一直一直都可以開心的攜手旅行下去。
I have clients from various industries. As for them, both of their working hours start from noon until midnight. It’s rare but not unusual. The bedroom is not spacious, but we never sacrifice comfort or function even in a compact space. We managed to put in a double bed, an L-shaped closet and a MUJI SUS cabinet. It’s funny to hear them describing when they took my sketches to MUJI to buy the cabinet, the clerk asked if he can keep the sketches. They hesitated because of the copyright and they need to acquire my permission. I told them the sketches belong to them now. They definitely have the right to do whatever they want to do with them. I just love the way they are, very thoughtful and considerate. I sincerely hope they can keep their sparkling in their eyes forever and make many more journeys together to come.
